Holy Republic of Harrolldean...

Well, thru the help of the internet, I have now created my own nation: The Holy Republic of Harrolldean. You can check us out at www.nationstates.net. Pretty cool. We'll see how long I keep this up. I have a feeling my nation will be a ghost-nation in less than a month.

Leaders Set The Tone...

Have a sense of urgency.
Now is the time to get things done.
Do as much as possible, today; right now.
Try to see how much you can get done today, then look back over a week (or month) and you'll be amazed at how much was done; probably more than you ever thought possible.
Don't get in the trap of saying, "I'll do it tomorrow"... do it RIGHT NOW.
Why wait? Your competition isn't waiting.

RE: Weekly Wednesday

only thing this triggered was a very short clip from an old Petra song, or maybe it was a tile of a Petra song "psycho babel rock on"... or something like that. hehe.

Go awesome 80's christian hair bands!
(hey, at least I didn't quote Al Denson while wearing a multi-colored vest)

RE: Road Laxatives and an Angry Society

one time it took me 13 minutes to get to work.
i don't say that to rub salt in your LA traffic wounds, but i say that to agree w/ you. how? well, it made me mad that it took so long. i think we have to keep thinkgs in perspective. i listened to some john maxwell the other day, and he told this story, "a girl wrote to her mother about troubles since going off to school... she dropped out of college, married a man she met in a bar, got pregnant, getting married then coming back home to live w/ parents, etc, etc... then she went on to say, none of the previous was true, but that she did have a "D" in geometry, and was failing calculus and she wanted her mom that she wanted to accept theses grades in their proper perspective." I found this very amusing, since i wrote a similar letter in middle school at some point. Well, keep things in perpective, be a problem spotter not just a problem spotter, and don't ever let go of humor.

Challenge for the day: try and have a "near-life" experience today (not a "near-death" experience).

2008 Titan is here (almost)...

Well, the new upgrades have been unveiled! It will hit all stores in North America in Spring 2007. I will be the first in line to test drive these badboys, but I think I'll let the salesman park that long thing. Here are some pics:

Triggered Thoughts by Cory...

RE: political basketball

21 sucked. I too was a terrible basketball player. I sat the bench on the B team in 8th grade. My only achievement was making the best guy (Jackie) quit the team. We were playing a scrimmage game. Good 'ol A-team vs B-team after practice one day, and I charged to the basket for a lay-up. As I was going up for the shot, Jackie was all over me. It was probably a foul, or more probably so, I was just clumsy. But I remember falling, and just chunking the ball in to the air. Out of luck, I made the shot. Even though I don't think I was consciously (side note: the word "conscience" " concious" however the hell you spell it, has to be the worst word in the English language to spell) trying to make the shot as much as I was just trying to get the ball in an upward direction and away from Jackie. Well, after making the shot, everyone on the team began teasing Jackie that the worse guy on the team (guess who this was??) just scored on him. He got so mad, he quit. All in all, I know I didn't make him quit, it was all the teasing. But I still take credit. Don't judge me! Its my best story. The only basketball story I have other than that was when I was substituted in during a free throw. Then after the 1st free throw shot, I was taken back out of the game! I wasn't that bad! If only my coach knew of all the "10 pointers" (from the street; which is obviously harder than a 3-pointer) at my house! And all the time I shot from the street (airballed, or "Aggie Swished" as I call it) but saved the ball from going in the creek (out of bounds) w/ a last minute pass-save to Michael Jordan or Larry Bird (my imaginary team mates). He would have let me play for sure.

And as little as I have to say about basketball... I have even less to say about politics. I won't even change my Driver's License to my Abilene address so I can vote b/c it is good till 2008 and it doesn't have the "eyeglass provision" on it. And if I have to retake the eye test for my DL, I will fail. Then I'll have to wear my glasses when I drive. Grrrr.

Just FYI... I'm starting a new post on my blog. It will be called, "Triggered Thoughts by Cory". I'm going to be posting my return comments to your blogs as new blogs on my page. Everyone should know about how Jackie REALLY quit the team. Your blogs seem to get me thinking of a lot of different things. Apparently you writing is "working". Keep it up.

New Post(s)...

If you're reading this, its probably b/c you just read my newest Post. Well, my friend Cory has a blog: http://corymurman.blogspot.com/. He is one of my best friends. In fact, he was the lead singer for Delica. The creator of Worship songs that incorporated Nintendo theme songs. Craziest 3rd of the Kings of Town. And one and only Minister/DJ at my Wedding. His writings have inspired many thoughts about past, present, and future. So I though I would post my comments to his blogs on my blog as new posts. These new posts will be titled, "Triggered Thoughts by Cory". Hope you enjoy(ed).

What I did today...

I had breakfast with my wife and the king. (Did you know they have a burger with 4 patties?? Too much!)

I went to Church.

I took down our Christmas Lights.

I put our Christmas decorations in the attic.

I threw away a box of trash.

I found the favorite place that Daisy and Snowball apparently like to crap.

I bought some new shoes. $6.24 at Target.
